Mookie launches a revolutionary site for creative,
high quality film content.
Mookie, the new online marketplace for creative, high-quality film content, has now launched in an early test phase. A handpicked number of talented filmmakers have initially been invited to help Mookie form the core group of contributors, in order to develop the best user experience possible for mookie.com.
"We are proud to introduce our excellent platform that serves as a revolutionary marketplace - linking filmmakers with commercial buyers", says Fredrik Wastenson, CEO of Mookie. "Moving images within online digital channels have exploded, causing a huge demand for ideas, and a much higher production capacity of video clips and films. By gathering the most talented filmmakers from around the globe, and providing a reliable source of multicultural inspiration and innovative solutions, Mookie is a firm response to this demand.", he continues. "Packaged in a professional interface with a range of services, Mookie will also act as a trusted partner in a complex world of film production and distribution over the net."
The objective is to become an international network of the best creative minds in the field, but Mookie is initially only available for the Swedish market. "We have chosen Sweden as our test market for developing the final launch as Sweden is often seen as a frontrunner in adopting new technologies and setting new, broader consumer trends. New research also shows that takeoff for new products is faster in Sweden than almost anywhere else", says Fredrik Wastenson.
Mookie is an exclusive community of talented, creative people with a shared passion for producing stunning, unique films. Anyone can join the community as long as they meet the application requirements.
BaByliss, the famous fashion and beauty brand, together with Momail, the first mailservice tailor made for your mobile phone, have assigned contests on Mookie with the objective to gain commercial materials that can be seeded in the virtual channels. Both companies have understood that ideas come form all over and by using Mookie they can capitalise on this.
Mookie is expected to be fully up and running in 2008.
